Confident, inspiring & beautiful floors delivering efficient use of space

It has been widely acknowledged that good design stimulates positive learning. Colour and texture can be used creatively to create flooring solutions that stimulate staff and students alike, whilst at work or relaxing. Today’s students have high expectations and will shop around, all too often basing their choice of university on aesthetic factors along with academic considerations.

Many university buildings are now dual purpose too, providing venues for conferences and exhibitions – the standard expected from event organisers is high; modular flooring offers creativity with the added bonus of flexibility, high performance, easy cleaning and maintenance and a positive return on investment.

However InterfaceFLOR understands that, with such a wide portfolio, specifiers and procurement officers often struggle to choose between colours and textures to create a floor that not only looks fabulous and uses the floor space efficiently but also stands us to heavy foot traffic and delivers good value for money – and all with outstanding sustainability credentials too! InterfaceFLOR have launched the Revise collection to help with this dilemma.

Comprising three well-established products from the InterfaceFLOR ranges, the Revise Collection is grouped into four colour categories; brights, neutrals, blues and greys. Each colour group features a random, plain and pin dot design which are all proven to work well with existing interior schemes and also offer endless mix and match options for newbuild projects. The products, Transformation, Heuga 568 & Heuga 530 are all heavy contract rated.

Sustainability built in

InterfaceFLOR’s own sustainability achievements include reducing the total energy use per unit of production by 44 per cent, operating all European factories on 100 per cent renewable electricity, and reducing the volume of waste sent to landfill by 67 per cent.

These as part of the overall company ethos and the fact that InterfaceFLOR delivers value for money and fitness for purpose have contributed to the awarding of a three-year sole Supply and Delivery Framework Agreement from Buying Solutions. An executive agency of the Office of Government Commerce, Buying Solutions provides expertise and support at every stage of the procurement process to help deliver improved return on investment and sustainability. As well as delivering added peace of mind for universities, this means that InterfaceFLOR’s modular flooring can be purchased simply without the need for costly and time consuming tendering..

All InterfaceFLOR products are BRE rated and a full LCA is available for each range. InterfaceFLOR are also a member of the EAUC and provide additional services such as Tile TakeBack and Cool Carpet which can further enhance the sustainability credentials of any new installation.
