Tile Take-Back: Our ReEntry® scheme makes a little go a long way

As part of its commitment to sustainability, InterfaceFLOR is determined to reduce the volume of used product that is sent to landfill. We have developed the ReEntry® scheme to reclaim as much end-of-life product as possible.

Key benefits

  • Recycling programme
  • Re-purposed products
  • Reduces wastage
  • Helps the environment

Under the ReEntry® scheme, we will arrange for any InterfaceFLOR carpet to be diverted from landfill, at a small incremental cost to the customer.

Product that cannot be re-purposed will, where possible, be recycled into new product or downcycled into other products.

Participation in the scheme will help all of our customers in the long term by ensuring that carpet is diverted from landfill, wherever possible, and reused in other schemes to help the local community and to raise their own sustainability status. We partner with various organisations across Europe in order to make this happen.

Clearstream Carpets

Description:
Cleanstream Carpets is a Community Interest Company (CIC) based in South Wales. The operational partner of the process is a community based charitable social enterprise called Too Good To Waste. They have locations in three towns in the Valleys, each with economic and social challenges.

The partnering arrangement between Cleanstream and Too Good To Waste provides meaningful training leading to qualifications for volunteers who might otherwise not be given opportunities to gain workplace knowledge and experience. Revenue generated from the intake of carpet tiles saved from landfill and then, after sorting, sold for re-use, will go back into the company for reinvestment for the benefit of the community sector."
